The result of investigation on the disturbance of liquid surface field by singlyoccurring vein of various forms in the current-sending potential prospecting method had been reported in detail in Vol.48, No.564 (1922) of this journal. This report discusses the disturbance of the liquid surface field from the examination of curves obtained by tracing the equi-potential lines when the composite vein exists in various forms.
To begin with, the author explains the method of indicating the position of veins and the disturbance of field in order to facilitateunderstanding the state of occurrence of veins and treating the result of investigation. He studied the effect of reciprocal positions of veins on the liquid surface field (1) when 2 parallel veins, having the equal dimensions and the submerged depths, exist and (2) when 2 parallel veins, having the unequal dimensions and submerged depths, and 3 parallel veins exist. He also studied (3) the effect of rich ore-body, thinning of veins and fault on the disturbance of field and theappropriate position for setting electrodes in order to locate the rich ore-body. The author gives the result of investigation carried out with a purpose to minimize the effect of fault on the field disturbance and to raise the effect of vein, which is bisected by the fault, as great and clear as possible in order to facilitate prospecting of ore-body.
