Both Basset and Krupp processes were already published on the Ton Industrie Zeitung and Stahl u. Eisen respectively. This paper deals with applicability of Basset process for comparatively rich ores such as purple ore, Iron sand and of Krupp process for high silicious poor iron are or Iron sand which are up to now a days neglected as valueless resources of iron due to their physical and chemical defects.
