In this paper the author argues about the design of shaft bottom arrangements of coal mines, explains his plan of the shaft bottom arrangement of the Ryitho-pit in Fushnn Colliery, Manc huria, and shows some examples in the U. S. A. and Germany.
These examples will be good reference to Japanese engineers who are going to plan new shafts with high winding capacities in Japan.
