In this report as the continuation of-report 1, 2 and 3, the author studied the effect of ferromagnetic iimpurities to the separation of weak magnetic minerals in a strong magnetic field. To ascertain the above effect, some numericalcal culations concgming the magnetic properties of locked particle consisting of garnet and magnetite were carried out. Then the above results were experime-ntally discussed by using actual results. of separation. The results obtained were shown in Fig. 1 and 2. In these considerations the author assumed that the mineral possesses pure component and uniform characteristics. While in the case of natural mineral which treated in the ordinary magnetic separation it doesn't always possesses uniform characteristics even if it presents comperatively high grade. The experimental results concerning the ilmenite concentrates were shown in Fig. 5 and 7. In spite of their high grade, it was recognized that they show magnetically wide distribution.
In addition with the above experiments, the boundary between magnetic separation employing weak magnetic field and of strong magnetic field was discussed.
