We studied on the formation, constitution and micro-structures of Ca-ferrite byc hemicaland X-ray-analysis and microscope. Main results obtained are as follows. 1). Ca-ferrite has two kinds of form, CaO · Fe203 and 2CaO·Fe203. 2). CaO · Fe203 forms over 700° and 2CaO · Fe203 over 1, 000°C, the former melts at 1, 220°C and dissolved by hot 1: 1 HCI, and latter melts at 1, 280°C and easily dissolved by cold dil HCI, and they have both paramagnetic property. 3). CaO · Fe203 dissolves a few amount of Fe203 at high temperature. 4). CaO · Fe2O3 forms hexagonal crystals near its melting point, and shows the growth steps.
