Generally, the waste water from non-ferrous metal mine contains free sulfuric acid and copper, zinc, ferric and ferrous ions as sulfates.
Usually, the copper contained in the mine water is precipitated by iron scrap before neutralization.
However, when the contents of free acid and ferric sulfate are very high the mine water consumes large amounts of iron scrap and this method costs very expensive.
Our new method consists of following three steps:(1) Selective neutralization of ferric sulfate and sulfuric acid with calcium carbonate.(2) Recovery of copper by hydrogen sulfide.(3) Perfect neutralization of the water with slaked lime.
This new method can produce purified water free from pollution.
