Acrylic Polymers

Abstract

Acrylic Polymers have excellent weather resistance, transparency, and surface gloss. They are used in a wide range of areas, such as automobile parts, optical materials, construction materials and coating materials. Acrylic polymers also have advantages compared to alkyd, epoxy and urethane resins because of the variety of available monomers and production methods. In this article, production methods, improvement of properties and functionality for coating materials are briefly reviewed.
