Abstract
In this thesis, we organized the current state of school buildings in Ichinoseki city that were discontinued after 1980, which is one of the issues of community welfare, we examined the situation of utilization. And we counted the total number of buildings around the school building, statistically revealed the difference in the total number of buildings due to the difference in the utilization situation. Specifically, we used a residential map and summarized the school building's radius of 900m for each school building. As a result, concerning the use situation of abolition school, out of 60 schools, 45 schools were being used, of which 30 schools are always in use. There were 2 schools where school buildings were demolished and utilized in another use, and 15 schools were not utilized at all. Although it can not be positively asserted because of its small amount and problems in the aggregation method, for types of buildings around the school buildings, it was suggested that there were difference situations between the combination of nonresident buildings and schools. In addition, we argue that it is necessary to examine the possibility that rebuilding regional facilities utilizing waste school buildings will improve the welfare capacity of the region.
