Optimal Periodic Operation and Control for Stoker-type Incinerators

Chaotic behaviors are observed in stoker-type incineration plants when the conventional control strategy is applied. In this paper, a new operating strategy, which does not generate the chaotic behaviors and makes the fluctuation of the steam flow rate be small, is proposed and its effectiveness is presented through some numerical simulations.
