Abstract
In this paper, we proposed the new method to evaluate thermal interface material within the effect of thermal contact resistance. For this purpose, we used non-smooth plate and metal mesh, in order to represent the surface roughness with precise control. We confirmed the effectiveness of the new method in thermal resistance measurement. We used 3M5519S type thermal interface material and non-smooth plate for heat flow analysis using simulation, and we successfully proved the effectiveness of method.
