Development of Continuous Snap-through Buckling Driven Fish Robot with Large Trapezoidal Elastic Sheet

Abstract

In this paper, we developed a fish-like robot featuring a large trapezoidal elastic sheet driven by wire and a continuous snap-through buckling mechanism. Swimming tests demonstrated the increased speed and fish-like movements.
