Type R thermocouples were exposed at the atmosphere of 1400°C and 1200°C. After that, thermal EMF drift was examined at the freezing point of Au.
The stability of Type R thermocouples has been performed better than ±1.5°C at 1400°C, including EMF drift and error propagation.
