Abstract
In this paper, the existence of realization in a linear time-varying discrete-time system is considered. First, the notion of ‘semilinear transformation’ for a time-varying discrete-time system is introduced. We study necessary and sufficient conditions for the unit pulse response to be realizable by a q-step observable system or r-step reachable system. These conditions are also represented in terms of Hankel matrices.
