Abstract
Three specimens of a scatophagid fish Scatophagus were collected at the mouth of the Sakura River(33°24′18″N, 133°17′51″E) flowing into Susaki Bay in Kochi Prefecture, southern Japan. The specimens ranged from 13.2mm to 144.4mm in standard length. Susaki Bay represents a new locality for this species in Kochi Prefecture, and a 144.4mm standard length fish is the largest one among the known S. argus specimens from middle coast on Tosa Bay.
