Abstract

We report a case of fixed drug eruption due to levofloxacin. A 74-year-old women presented slackened bulla with a diameter of 6.5×4.5 cm and erythema on her thigh after taking Levofloxacin, Teprenone, Biofermin R. We diagnosed as fixed drug eruption and examined the causative medicines.
The closed patch test presented no clear reactions because of her scratch mark. The oral provocation test with levofloxacin 1 tablet a day showed a negative reaction, but 3tablets a day showed a positive reaction. We concluted that the eruption in this case was a fixed drug eruption induced by levofloxacin.
