A case of solar urticaria with positive serumfactor was reported. In this case, action spectrumlay between UVA and visible light.Inhibition spectrum was not detected. Lightirradiatedpatient's serum was able to causeurticarial reaction at patient's skin when it wasintradermally injected. In the same way, lightirradiatedsera of two normal indivisuals couldalso develope wheal formatiom at patient's skin.
Sephacryl S-300 gel-filtration of sera frompatient and normal control was performed. Each fraction treated with the irradiation wasinjected to the patient's skin. In this study, both fractions represented molecular weightbetween 90, 000 and 120, 000 could developeerythemal reaction. It is suggested that theserum factor in our case was also prsesent insera of men.
