Abstract
Skin ulcers and decubitus were treated with DT-5621 ointment containing 3% dibutyryl cyclic AMP (DBcAMP) in polyethylene glycol base. Clinical efficacy of DT-5621 was compared between two groups: application of the ointment once daily (Group A) or twice daily (Group B).
In Group B, the effect of increased frequency in disinfection and in position change was found, but the efficacy, safety and usefulness of DT-5621 ointment comparable in both groups.
In the results indicate that application of DT-5621 once daily is sufficient to treat chronic skin ulcers and decubitus ulcer.
