Abstract
This research grasped the actual condition of an irregular employee in Japanese hotel industry by investigation from both sides of demand / supply of work force. In the investigation from a demand side, in order to grasp quantity-change of an irregular employee, the recognition to a personnel manager's in charge irregular employee, etc., it investigated for the personnel manager. It became clear that it is a downward tendency on the whole, and while the regular employee is a downward tendency, an irregular employee is a upward tendency. In the investigation from a supply side, I evaluated differences in job consciousness between regular and irregular employees in the hotel industry. As a result of analyses,Regular employees show the higher tendencies towards role ambiguity and autonomy, whereas irregular employees show the higher tendencies towards job security.
