Around 1999, the Anomalous Behavior of the Polar Wobble (ABPW) again took place. This is the third ABPW observed by astronomical means following after 1845 and 1927, and its first example where the phase of the Chandlerian motion was retarded from the rate of the ordinary polar wobble.
