Abstract

In this study, as an educational practice at an empowerment school, we focused on the cooperation between the school and external support organizations in establishing a support project at Osaka Prefectural Nishinari High School, to describe the current situation, and raise the following five issues :

⑴the necessity of coordinating information shared between schools and external institutions, ⑵establishment of feedback routes for schools to incorporate information reported to them from external institutions into the curriculum, ⑶actively and mutually disclose and share information on the hired high school graduates’ family backgrounds, between school, external organizations, and companies, from the perspective of building a gentle career ladder and the adaptation and development of vocational ability with local companies, ⑷the need to clarify authority and responsibility through defining professionalism between schools and external organizations, and ⑸the need to re-examine the significance of the Employment Security Law from the perspective of employment support through schools.
