The movement of the revised ISO-9001 (2000) and the 6σ (Six Sigma) Strategy

Abstract

ISO/TC-176 conference was held at Kyoto in June 2000 and concluded to revise the 1994 year version of ISO-9000s to make the version incorporated enough with the mode in quality management with which the project management subject is closely related, In this paper, I overview the contents of ISO-9000s and the 6σ strategy which is getting populated in US recently and then discuss the relationship and possible future issues.
