Abstract
This article represents a best practice of Inspection activities for software development project to improve quality. In general, “Software Inspection” technique has a problem about economy of itself and difficulty of estimation and evaluation. In other aspect, quality of inspection depends on the inspector’s skill and experience. To solve these problem, IBM Japan LTD tried to launch the QI (Quality Inspection) activities for IT services project. QI activities for minimizing solution risk and improving deliverables quality is so cost effective. QI with optimized tools and process brings you the way to prevent defects and quality improvement as “Trouble Smoke Sensor System”.
