Abstract
In comparison with large-scale projects, processes of project management in short-term small-scale projects could partly be omitted and/or be simplified. But, on the other hand, limited time frame causes restriction in selecting project management methods. In order to succeed in projects, this restriction should fully be recognized, and the appropriate project management method should be implemented without inadequate simplification. This paper discusses characteristics of short-term small-scale project and its effective project management by contrast with the nine knowledge areas of PMBOK guide and the successful projects from author's personal experience.
