1701 Management of Sankin-Kotai Project : Risk Management of Kaga-Han's Project

Abstract

Kaga-Han's Sankin-Kotai project team had shuttled between Kanazawa and Edo 190 times in Edo period. There were a lot of risks on the passage. For example, it was very difficult to pass over Oyashirazu's coast and to go across big rivers. But, they had done risk management very well. We can study their performance and get new knowledge of project risk management.
