Abstract
As Japanese government's policy with overriding priority, the society's needs for health domain (such as medicine, health, nursing, and welfare) is growing. In cooperation with the application of Information Technologies such as EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system, the needs for talented people who have not only IT skill but also medical practice know-how as consultant is swelling significantly, and human resources development of such people is the task of pressing urgency in our society. In this column, I would like to write about the establishment of medical business certification system, and about the needs and role of the community activities by this certified people, especially pertaining to the approach and achievement of the planned human resources development. The autonomous activity of human resources development by this certified people can focus clearly on solving appropriate problems in medical business category. Therefore, I would like to propose that such a community activity is necessary for system engineers and effective to establish relationships between them.
