Abstract
New Energy and Industrial Development Organization (NEDO) has monitored the status of the utilization of project's outputs since FY2004. The purposes of the follow-up monitoring are to ensure accountability and improvement of project management methods and R & D policies. 56 projects that NEDO completed in FY2001 and FY2002 were monitored through the follow-up surveys. It is very good to use project's outputs for business activities, but it was found that approximately 22% of outputs were utilized for different purposes for which it was originally intended. In this paper, the results of follow-up surveys and hypothesis that there might be a point that should be improved for our project management are shown. Finally, improvement of management methods will be discussed.
