Abstract
In 21st century, the internet turns out to be the main media for people communication globally. However, the utilization of information technology in Japan have failed to keep pace with western countries, because of the ageing professional population and mass retirement of the bay-boomer generation-2007 problem urge a timely cure. Therefore, the successors of systems and knowhow must be trained very quickly. In the IT industry, improvements are needed urgently in terms of industrial structure and human resource development. Recently, Academia-government collaboration in Japan has been formed. The overall ICT human resource development strategies are established also. As a result, professional personnel training courses have been kicked on. In this paper, the leadership of Japanese IT industry and the strategies are discussed.
