In our system development, quality control is performed in the process of design (quality improvement process) and test (quality verification process), respectively, using quantitative analysis methods. The indices used for such quantitative analysis are customized and determined based on the initial development scale at the time of project planning, actual results of the previous projects, and projects' characteristics. The development scale used as a parameter is given by the design scale (Ks) and production scale (Ks) in application development; however, some developments, including system platform development, in which the design scale and production scale cannot be evaluated in Ks, are not properly measured and evaluated. Especially, when we outsource system platform development to vendors, i.e., our business partners, as there is no clearly defined acceptance standard, quality assurance levels vary depending on the outsourced vendors, often resulting in causing system failures after the start of the service. In this paper, we introduce our efforts in developing quantitative analysis assurance methods in system platform development and case studies in applying such methods to the actual projects.
