Abstract
We summarize the key points for server replacement of shared hosting services to reduce user impacts. Currently, shared hosting services are widely spread because those enable SME businesses to use Web servers and mail servers with their own domain easily. There are some problems in carriers' shared hosting server replacement because users want high service quality as same as network services and many users use same hosting services. Only a short time server down is allowed, customer IP addresses must be same and sufficient announcement and preparation time for users are needed. In this paper, we explain the key points of server replacement project such as data migration tool development, user announcement and migration work scheduling to reduce user impacts.
