Abstract
The failure of the system development project happens frequently in the IT industry, so various measures are taken to solve them. Most of the measures are to make the stage of the plan in details and to check content of work in progress; these are called "top-down approach". From the developer site, an enough result is not achieved by these measures; we need more effective one to solve them. There is an example of using employee satisfaction survey to finding good measures to vitalize industrial movement. In the system development project field, we could use the same idea; the more to increase member's motivation, the more to improve project performance. In this thesis, we pay attention to the member's motivation, by analyzing the project survey to find out what motivate them most. We did several questionnaires for project members, and we report the result which contains the analysis of the survey characteristics and the idea of the improvements. Moreover, we have had the idea from these lessons, and we propose to improve projects by both top-down and bottom-down approaching.
