Abstract
It is important for the business application software development to estimate project cost and duration at early stage of development when the software functional specification is not clear. Especially, software size is one of main factors that determine project cost, therefore it is very important to estimate software size accurately. We have created a method for estimating function point to estimate software size at early stage of business application software development and are applying this method to some software development projects. Underestimate is decreasing, speed of understanding estimate method is faster, and time required for estimate is shorter.
