Abstract
In order to synthesize uniform spherical platinum particle with about 1 μm in diameter by wet process, Pd nanoparticles were prepared and applied for seed particles. Firstly, by using Pd seed nanoparticles and the control of additive conditions of platinum chloride salts and reductant, uniform spherical platinum particles up to 0.8 μm in diameter were obtained. In the second stage, Pt layer was coated on the prepared spherical Pt particles in order to enlarge the Pt particle size was uniformly, and it was possible to increase the size of uniform spherical Pt particles from 0.8 to 1.2 μm in diameter. The size of uniform Pt spherical particle was able to be controlled ranging from 0.4 to 1.2 μm in diameter by using above process.
