Abstract
In automotive three-way catalysts, the sintering of the precious metal particles during operation is considered to cause a decrease in the catalytic activity. This study shows the sintering inhibition mechanism of Pt supported on ceria-based oxide through the Pt-oxide-support interaction and the in-situ dynamic observation of Pt redispersion on ceria-based oxide, using X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS).
