Abstract
This article deals with dissociation and its mechanism of resins and/or organic compounds containing halogen elements under room temperature by means of mechanochemistry. The method for dissociating the compounds is to mill with inorganic additives in air by mainly a planetary ball mill. The organic compound can be dissociated to form halogen compound in the product. The dissociation mechanism depends on the nature and structure of the compounds, and they are categorized into two groups; one is the group with hydrogen in its structure and the other the group without hydrogen. The former is dehydrohalogenation type, while the latter is dehalogenation one.
