Abstract

In this article, we explain how to improve the specific surface area of the well crystalized perovskite particles, and effect of the specific surface area of the catalyst on the catalytic activity for steam reforming process. Barium titanate (BTO) was selected as the model perovskite material in this study, and the barium titanate nano-coating on nano-particles was attained to increase the specific surface area of BTO. We introduce two types of the BTO nanocoating on nano-particles by chemical solution deposition. In addition, we applied the obtained BTO particles with relatively high specific surface area to methane and ethanol steam reforming process.
