Abstract

The technology for controlling the dispersion and aggregation of particles in liquids has been utilized since ancient times, as seen in Egyptian wall paintings, mummy decorations, and Chinese calligraphy ink. Even today, this technology plays a crucial role in various fields, including the fabrication of advanced battery electrodes, the production of multilayer ceramic capacitors, and the removal of impurities in water treatment. However, as product diversity continues to expand in modern society, the required slurry compositions and properties have also become more diverse, leading to new challenges. In this paper, the author introduces research on some of these emerging challenges, specifically focusing on “time-dependent changes in the dispersion state of slurry particles,” “the effect of the mixing sequence of two types of additives,” and “the impact of solid-state mixing.”
