By a conformable approximation method, the authors have derived an equation for the deposition efficiency of small particles on the plate surface placed in a flow of complex mixtures, which is more convenient for practical use compared with the theoretical methods derived by Davies, Ranz and Langmuir.
The calculated values given by the authors' equation were in good agreement with the experimental data for alumina particles within the errors of experiments, and also with the theoretical values calculated by Ranz's and Langmuir's equations.
