Abstract
The purpose of the present study is to account for the mechnics of the discharge of particles through orifices in water. That is, discharge phenomena of particles with counter-current flow of water are taken into some considerations as model.
Under the assumption of the formation of “dispersed phase” controlling the discharge rate near orifices, new model have been proposed to explain in terms of the discharge rate using particles velocity distributiou function.
Theoretical results are in good agreement with experimental data containing other investigators within the experimental range discussed in this study,
