Abstract
In order to develop a stand-alone type automatic rheometer which can process data, a microcomputer is introduced to a conventional rheometer with coaxially revolving cylinders. Normally, the viscosity of fluid depends very much on temperature. By this equipment, it becomes easy to hold a test specimen and to set it at any desired temperature. The measurement can be carried out readily by a dialogue with the microcomputer through the console. From the measurement of flow characteristics for various specimens, e. g. various kinds of slurry, paste, etc. using this equipment, it was confirmed that the introduction of a microcomputer was effective.
