Abstract
Development of an On-line fineness meter has been required for a long time in order to control the particle size of the products of a grinding mill. There is a similar need for a classifier in the powder process industry. In this report it is found that when. a new air classifier is used as a fineness detector, partide size can be estimated by coarse or fine powder yield and. Also, the linear relationship between the Blame value of the specific surface area and the coarse powder yield of the classifier is satisfactorily established by choosing a proper cut size for cement powder.
