The rheological properties and the pressure distribution of agricultural waste materials compressed in a heated cylinder, such as bark, the stem of wood and rice husks, were clarified.
The 5-element Maxwell model and the 5-element Voigt model were determined from the stress-relaxation test and creep test, respectively, using these materials.
A theoretical equation derived as an extension of the Shaxby-Unkel's equation was proposed to represent the pressure distribution of the biomass material compressed in the cylinder.
