Abstract

The paper presents a submicro-dynamic analysis of granular assemblies and interaction according to the non-linear contact force-intergrain stiffness relationship. The integrity of the dynamic equations provides additional insight into the conservation law of nano-mechanics. By using the results of theoretical studies for the dynamics and for the initial value problem, the microscopic mechanism of the transformation of the chemical energy to the mechanical work in a tribo-chemical process can be described. The results of this study show that nano-mechanics are necessary to describe the mechanical state of the granular assemblies.
