Abstract
The trajectories of particles thrown into a forced vortex type centrifugal air classifier are calculated numerically. The effects of the air flow rate and the blade attitude angle on the cut size are verified. The cut size is determined by the blade attitude angle as well as by the radial air flow rate. The lowest cut size can be reduced by increasing the blade attitude angle.
