ICT Utilization method for supporting the management of a local community

Abstract

The aim of this study is to clarify the utilization method of information and communication technology (ICT) for supporting the management of a local community. We have operated a local community website in Higashi-ku, Nagoya City since 2007, and designed the local community website according to the citizens, realizing its continual operation. In this paper we will build on this example in a local community website for Mitsurugi, Mizuho-ku, Nagoya City, and will explain the utilization method of ICT along with future efforts to be made, using specific examples in local community management.
