The feature of the information distribution of the social media in an East Japan great earthquake

Abstract

In the emergence of the East Japan great earthquake, I investigated what kind of information the Internet user of areas around Tokyo acquired from social media.As a result, I showed that social media are frequently used by reception of information rather than the newspaper by the types of information. In Twitter, information has been acquired via the people connected on the Internet, and it became clear that the information transmitted to persons by social media played an important role at the time of a disaster.
