This paper aims to analyse the possibility of volunteer activities after its “end” by analyzing relief activities regaiding private photos flooded by the tsunami of the 2011 East Japan Earthquake. After 3.11, photograph relief activities occurred spontaneously, multiply and simultaneously in the vast disaster-stricken areas, and in a short period of time the activities spread all over Japan. This case study shows us the possibility of volunteer activities based on differences between groups.
