Crowdfunding (CF) systems appear to resemble one another at first glance; however, their practices vary. These seemingly trivial differences influence other actors―such as operating companies, projects' proponents, and consequences―in the socio-technical network of CF ecosystems. In this study, the author sorted the implemented settings of the CF information systems into four types and examined the differences in ecosystems and in strategies of the operating companies stemming from the differences in types.
