This paper analyzes the emotions expressed by Takashi Kawamura on X (formerly known as Twitter) during the 2017 and 2021 Nagoya mayoral elections. The results show that Kawamura's tweets predominantly contained positive sentiment, with a lower proportion of negative sentiment, a common feature in these elections. However, in response to the different electoral situations, particularly the forged signatures recall incident in 2021, the positive sentiment in his tweets decreased while the negative sentiment increased slightly. This shift reflects the significant impact of this incident on his emotional expression.
