Abstract
We consider in this paper a novel approach to system identification using an evolutionary strategy(ES). In this approach we consider multiple estimates of the system parameters, which interactively or independently seek for the better estimates to fit the observed behavior of system and construct an overall estimate by some algebraic operations on these estimates. Numerical simulation results show the usefulness of the proposed approach from the viewpoints of adaptability, robustness and applicability to diverse systems including nonlinear and time-varying systems.
