Abstract
A highly accurate pipe-length on-line measurement is considered. Stationary waves in pipes are modeled with a linear dynamic system which includes unknown parameters. Posteriori probabilities for candidates on the parameters are calculated and the measurement of pipe-length is reduced to the expectation of the candidates. A dynamic model having high resolution with respect to the pip-length is derived. Finally, an effective update algorithm for the candidates is presented.
